Uniquely designed and manufactured in Australia, the original MacMed Charnley Block offers stabilisation of hip abduction to help manage the risk of dislocation following hip replacement surgery (anthroplasty). The specially shaped device maintains knee separation comfortably while a hook and loop strap secures the positioning of the legs. Made from a combination of high density, visco-elastic and hospital grade foams, it has a fully welded medical grade cover which is resistant to sanitising chemicals and breathable to ensure many years of reliable service in commercial healthcare facilities. Recommended for use in Orthopaedic surgery wards and suitable for use in all clinical settings and in-home care.
