Description Teddy bears become ones friend , companion and have great sentimental value. People often want to pass their teddy bear to another family member. Some bears are in excellent condition, others need restoration work. In either case I do not advise that a child is given an old bear to “play” with. Over the years the bears become fragile and the stuffing disintegrates. They can also attract mites. All these become a health hazard if a child was to play with the bear. While doing restoration work, I have had excellent results, with customers all being extremely happy to have their friend restored. This bear came to me with no head- what was left was pieces. The dog decided it was a fun toy to play with. The above bear is the oldest bear I ever restored. It was carried by his owner throughout World War 1.
